Building A Strong Relationship With the DeKalb County Delegation

Our city council wanted to annex some property into the city limits and wanted to have the General Assembly eliminate city leaders term limits from our City Charter.  No legislation made it out of committee to allow annexation or change our charter.  The DeKalb delegation may have had no desire to amend the charter to eliminate term limits without holding a referendum.  However, taking no action on annexation is puzzling since property owners were requesting to be included into the city.  If a problem exists between our city and the DeKalb delegation, we must fix it.  And, regardless, we need to build a strong working relationship with the DeKalb delegation.
